Continuous Improvement Manager

Pertemps Stoke are currently looking for a highly ambitious and energetic person to join their client’s team in Stoke-on-Trent. Main responsibilities if this Continuous Improvement Manager
role:
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects throughout the organisation and supply chain, ensuring that initiatives are identified, deployed, and successfully implemented.
  • Oversee and coach team members to ensure operations meet world-class standards. Set high benchmarks and maintain them through ongoing coaching and development.
  • Work with various departments to embed best practices, streamline processes, and cultivate a strong organisational culture.
  • Ensure key stakeholders have the information they need to achieve their objectives, driving productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee the coordination of activities to maximise output and drive business growth.
  • Support and develop team members through coaching, 1-on-1 meetings, performance appraisals, and continuous professional development.
  • Ensure all core processes are executed accurately and on time, continually refining business methods for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and evaluate quality metrics and KPIs to spot opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Take ownership of projects aimed at improving product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Create and present strategies to boost team engagement and development, reporting to senior management as needed.
  • Collaborate across functions like sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain to ensure all activities are aligned with market trends and customer preferences.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on demand forecasts, trends, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Skills required for this Continuous Improvement Manager role:
  • Proven experience in high-performance businesses or organisations, with a track record of managing and coaching people.
  • While specific experience is beneficial, it is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Proficiency in common computer systems and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and present confidently.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
