Fire Alarm Project Engineer

This national fire systems installer are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to predominantly work nights in the London and South East area to join their busy installation projects team. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading teams of both internal and subcontract engineers installing and commissioning small works, ideally being able to use their “hands on” engineering skills as necessary. Most systems are open protocol fire alarm systems with some security systems. Candidates for this role will need good knowledge of BS 5839, an ECS specific to fire alarms or security systems, a full driving licence and experience of working on projects. An SMSTS/SSSSTS would be a big advantage.
This exciting opportunity comes with a basic salary of £45,000 plus night shift allowance, vehicle and travel paid after 30 minutes each way, AAE in excess of £55,000. The salary is negotiable for an experienced project engineer depending on their skill set, although the client is also open to taking on someone who wants to progress into project management.
