Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, local independent company Packing Operative to join their friendly and supportive team on a temporary on-going basis.



This is a varied and hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and is happy to support across both office and warehouse functions when required.



Salary

• £12.71 per hour

Hours of Work Flexibility is essential, as start times may vary:

• Initially: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm

• Increasing to: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm during busy periods

The Role

·  Accurately pick, pack, and prepare products for dispatch according to order specifications.

·  Stand for extended periods throughout the shift and carry out tasks that require good physical fitness.

·  Methodically cross-reference product codes, batch numbers, and order details to ensure correct items are packed.

·  Inspect items for quality, damage, or defects before packaging.

·  Follow established packing procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency.

·  Label packages clearly and correctly in line with internal processes.

·  Maintain an organised, clean, and safe work area.

·  Work efficiently to meet daily targets and deadlines.

·  Report any discrepancies, stock issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.

·  Follow all health, safety, and manual-handling guidelines at all times.
