Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated professional to prepare and present high-quality food within a food & beverage environment. The ideal candidate will adhere to all food safety procedures and processes while always ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Starting from Wednesday 26th March hours will be Wednesday to Sunday 09:30am-16:30pm.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • To maintain an in-depth knowledge of the food to be prepared, the ingredients and volumes to use following the F&B Manager’s instructions.
  • Understand the kitchen routines and timescales given to ensure a smooth flow of service
  • To have an in-depth knowledge of allergens, understand the separation of allergen products and utensils used to ensure legal compliance.
  • Maintain and care for all utensils used and ensure they are cleaned and stored in line with set procedures.
  • Ensure all food orders are prepared effectively and customer wait times are kept to a minimum.
  • To ensure accurate rotation of all stored food, following strict batch control.
  • To ensure all areas are cleaned before and after food preparation ensuring all opening and closing checks as documented are always adhered to.
  • To carry out any ‘prove it’ checks as an when necessary, following the documented procedures. Including cooking and reheating, hot holding, chilling and chilled storage.
  • To maintain exacting personal hygiene standards to prevent bacteria and viruses spreading to food.
  • Support the F&B Management team in upholding the rules of the kitchen, including access and contact with food from non-catering personnel.
  • To safeguard all company stock and equipment at all times, making sure you report any discrepancies to the F&B Management team, paying particular attention of any stock or equipment that is not fit for purpose.
  • To be fully knowledgeable and up to date in knowing the key activities and events. Use this information to help customer and answer their queries.
  • Take personal responsibility for our own health & safety, and that of others whilst you are working at any of Vectis Ventures locations.
  • To work to and champion The Vectis Adventure throughout the business.
