Job Title: Stores Operative
Location: Coventry, CV4
Salary: £24,000 per annum

Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 (30-minute lunch)
- Friday: 08:00 - 14:00 (no lunch)

About the Role:
Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores Operative to join their team based in Coventry. This role involves managing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining a safe and organised working environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Goods In:
o Inspect received goods for quality and suitability.
o Book goods into the system, following established procedures.
o Report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
o Organise and store items in their correct locations.

- Goods Out:
o Pick and package stock items accurately based on sales or works orders.
o Follow the company's picking processes and report any discrepancies.
o Prepare and ship items for courier collection.
- Stock Organisation:
o Rotate expiry-dated and batch-numbered goods.
o Manage damaged or faulty stock through quarantine procedures.

- Health and Safety:
o Maintain a clean and hazard-free stores area.
o Conduct weekly risk assessments and address risks promptly.
o Report and manage any accidents or injuries effectively.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:
- Always work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
- Report any safety or environmental concerns to your line manager.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
