Production Operative
Location: Ellesmere Port
Hourly rate: £12.84 p/hr standard rate £13.91p/hr and when working Fri/Sat/Sun nights (defined as 18:00 - 06:00)
Shifts: 4 on 4 off (2 days 2 nights)

We are looking for highly motivated Production Operators to be part of the team at our state-of-the-art Corrugated Sheet Plant in Ellesmere Port. The successful candidate will be reliable, and willing to learn how to use all equipment in our Plant that is fully automated. It is a great opportunity for someone to work in a modern environment with highly automated new equipment. There is an emphasis on working smart and making sure you are very organised to ensure that we meet the highest standards of production and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Material Handling System and associated Software
• Operate in line with Health and Safety regulations set out in the training.
• Ensure that all product is checked regularly for Quality defects.
• Ensure all maintenance and Housekeeping is carried out and recorded.
• Support in hitting all KPI`s daily (Run speed, set times, downtime, 5S, Quality and waste)
• Work within a team and support the Artist during shift.
• Communicate with responsible person any health and safety issues, maintenance issues or matters of concern on the floor.
• Be at the machine ready to operate promptly at the time of start and hand over to incoming colleague in a comprehensive manner.
• Leave your machine as you would expect to find it (Clean and tidy, paperwork in order, tooling etc.)
• Use PPE and wear appropriate clothing as provided. (This may include in time a uniform, and may include abiding by Jewellery policies etc. that may become applicable through further Certifications the company decides to undertake)
• Any other reasonable request by management

The successful applicant would need to have:

• CAN DO" attitude.
• High levels of Health and Safety awareness
• Technical skills
• Good/ Strong IT and numerical skills
• Good Communication skills - spoken and written.
• Team worker
• Flexible
• Reasonable Physical exertion within Health and Safety regulations and Risk Assessment will be required.

• Multitasker
• Willing to learn and progress.
