Logistics Coordinator Required

Riverside Recruitment is delighted to be supporting our client in the search for a Logistics Coordinator to join their busy and dynamic transport team near Cockermouth, Cumbria.

About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced transport professional to step into a key role. Supporting the Transport Manager, you’ll help oversee daily operations, ensuring everything runs efficiently, safely, and in line with compliance standards.
You’ll be at the heart of the operation, working closely with drivers, managing schedules, and keeping the department running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinate daily transport operations and supervise drivers
• Ensure fleet compliance (MOTs, servicing, defect resolution)
• Monitor driver hours, tachograph compliance, and records
• Manage transport admin, including reports, logs, and documentation
• Communicate with drivers throughout shifts and conduct debriefs
• Investigate delivery issues and handle customer queries
• Support driver training and development
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and depot operations
• Liaise with internal teams and escalate issues where needed

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in transport or logistics
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office & transport systems)
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive, professional, and team-focused approach
• CPC in Road Haulage (desirable)
• Flexibility to work early mornings when required

Working Hours & Pay:
08:00 – 16:30
40 hour contract 
Up to £33,176 per annum.
The site is operational Monday - Saturday.
