Job Description

Forklift Driver with Warehouse Duties – MoD Storage Facility, Longtown, Cumbria
We are seeking dependable Forklift Truck Drivers to join our team at the new MoD storage facility in Longtown, Cumbria. By joining us, you will be part of a vital operation supporting the British Armed Forces both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
  • FLT counterbalance licence
  • Execute a variety of warehouse tasks, including picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch, as well as receiving, checking, and unpacking incoming items.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels by recording inventory movements and updating the Warehouse Management System (WMS) as needed.
  • Complete administrative duties such as order allocation and managing stock transactions within the system.
  • Operate and update WMS for efficient stock tracking and management.
  • Be flexible and take on additional tasks to assist in the smooth running of warehouse operations.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Solid knowledge of warehouse practices and operations.
  • Good computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and email applications.
  • A self-motivated and reliable individual who can work independently or as part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to punctuality and quality work.
  • Forklift truck (FLT) experience is required along with a valid FLT counterbalance licence.
Shift Patterns:
  • 0800-1600 Monday-Friday
Salary:
  • £12.04-£24.08 per hour (pay increase pending)
To be considered, you must:
  • Have no unspent criminal convictions and be able to pass a DBS check.
  • Provide six years of reference history and have lived in the UK for the last six years.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
