Pertemps Recruitment is currently seeking Assembly Operatives on behalf of our client, Royal Mail, based in Lincoln. We have opportunities for dedicated and physically fit individuals to join the Royal Mail team for a 2-day assignment on the 1st and 2nd of August, working on the assembly, movement, and maintenance of sorting frames.
What will I be paid?£17.36 per hour
What will I be doing?- Bolting and unbolting Royal Mail sorting frames (approx. 5ft high, 6ft wide, 45kg steel construction) using tools such as impact drivers, and drills.
- Using a drill to screw and unscrew bolts on sorting frames.
- Moving and repositioning sorting frames with the support of colleagues under the direction of a Royal Mail Lead.
- Applying vinyl wrap and duct tape to sorting frames as instructed.
- Loading and unloading large vans at operational sites.
- Following clear instructions and always adhering to safety standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to support efficient operations.
What skills and experience do I need?- Ability to follow clear instructions and work under the guidance of a Royal Mail Lead.
- Experience using tools such as impact drivers, drills, and basic measuring tools.
- Physical fitness to handle heavy sorting frames and perform manual tasks.
- Agility and adaptability to respond to changing work requirements.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures.
- Punctuality and availability for the specified 2-day assignment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
What hours will I be working?1st and 2nd of August, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (Guaranteed hours)
