Surface Treatment Engineer

Pertemps Recruitment is looking for a skilled Surface Treatment Engineer to join a leading engineering company in Lincoln. What will I be paid?
£26,000 to £36,800 p/a DOE
 
What will I be doing?

• Assess and resolve issues with surface treatment processes.
• Evaluate and improve surface deposition processes, including tooling, anodes, bath setups, and preparation.
• Support plating operators and amend technical documentation.
• Control stock levels and carry out chemical additions/dilutions as required.
• Liaise with subcontractors to improve internal and external processes.
• Maintain water treatment and effluent plants.
• Ensure correct storage and disposal of plating chemicals and hazardous waste.
• Work closely with the engineering, laboratory, and supply teams

 
What skills and experience do I need?

• Experience in a surface treatments environment.
• Understanding of electrodeposition and chemical conversion.
• Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills (Microsoft Office).
• Experience handling chemicals safely and responsibly.
• Quality-driven team player with the ability to work under pressure.
• Qualifications in physical or chemical sciences.

 
What hours will I be working?

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, rotating from shifts.
• A Shift: Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 1:35 pm, Friday 6:00 am to 12:45 pm
• B Shift: Monday to Thursday 1:25 pm to 9:05 pm, Friday 12:35 pm to 7:00 pm
