Job Description
Location: Cambridge
Our client, a leading civil engineering and transport firm, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Cambridge team, delivering high-value highway and drainage projects. This role offers hands-on responsibility and the chance to lead complex infrastructure schemes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead design and engineering for highway and below-ground drainage projects across residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
- Manage projects ranging from £10M to £100M in construction value.
- Provide technical guidance on complex civil engineering challenges, from land development to multi-unit residential sites.
- Collaborate with architects, planners, and contractors to ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Strong Civil 3D experience – this will be your core design tool.
- Proficiency with Flow/Costway and AutoCAD.
- Experience delivering large-scale building, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Background in land development or interest in residential and mixed-use schemes.
- Proven ability to manage complex designs and mentor junior engineers.
- Lead projects in Cambridge within a growing, dynamic team.
- Take on leadership responsibilities and help shape high-profile infrastructure projects.
- Gain exposure to both industrial and residential developments, broadening your civil engineering expertise.
