About the Role

As a Structural Revit Technician / RC Detailer, you will play a key role in producing high‑quality BIM models and detailed structural drawings for a wide range of building structure projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and wider project teams to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of design information.

Typical Responsibilities Include:

• Producing detailed 3D models using Revit and 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD for a variety of building structures.
• Preparing and detailing reinforced concrete (RC) drawings, schedules, and general arrangements.
• Working collaboratively with structural engineers to translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings.
• Coordinating models with architectural and MEP teams, ensuring clash-free design outputs.
• Maintaining drawing standards, templates, and BIM protocols in line with company and industry standards.
• Assisting in the development of project documentation and contributing to design reviews.
• Supporting junior technicians where required and playing an active role within the design team.

The Cardiff office is engaged in a range of exciting developments such as:

• RC‑framed multi‑storey developments (hotels, residential, student accommodation)
• National out‑of‑town retail schemes
• Custodial and secure government-led projects
• Commercial and mixed‑use schemes
• Major hospital developments and extension programmes

 

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience using Revit and AutoCAD within a structural consultancy environment.
• Proven reinforced concrete detailing experience (RC detailing & scheduling).
• Understanding of BIM processes and common data environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and wider design teams.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
