Role Overview

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and financial performance of the business. You will be expected to:

• Lead the business with vision and purpose, maintaining and enhancing its reputation for quality and reliability.

• Drive business development and growth strategies, identifying new market opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships.
• Maintain financial control, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, to ensure long-term profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and industry regulations, implementing best practices across the business.
• Provide technical design oversight for projects, with hands-on knowledge of HVAC system design principles.
• Use AutoCAD to create, review, and amend project drawings where required, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven leadership experience in managing an HVAC, air conditioning, or building services company.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy, with experience overseeing company P&L and project budgets.
• In-depth design knowledge of HVAC systems, including the ability to interpret and produce AutoCAD drawings.
• Knowledge of the industry landscape, including technologies, market trends, and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and team management skills, able to inspire and motivate a small but highly skilled team.
• Experience in client relationship management and business development, with a network within the sector being advantageous.
• Entrepreneurial drive, with the ability to take ownership of the business and lead it to its next phase of growth.
