Due to ongoing growth and client demand, we have an opening for a self-driven individual to join our Ground Investigation team.

Position: Senior Geo-environmental Consultant

As a Senior Geo-environmental Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing and executing complex ground investigations
  • Producing and finalising detailed reports and remediation strategies, and managing site investigation projects.
  • You will also have the chance to engage in various networking opportunities.
This role involves direct interaction with clients and regulators, as well as participation in diverse and challenging projects within our expanding multidisciplinary consultancy. It's a chance to enhance your technical expertise and strategic and commercial skills within a unique company. You will contribute to our team by supporting client-side project management and land remediation contracting services.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve Phase 1 desk studies, Phase 2 site investigations, and validation reports.
  • Conduct complex Phase 2 site investigations, including contractor supervision and sampling/logging of exploratory holes.
  • Write technical reports, including soil, gas, and groundwater risk assessments, and remediation strategies.
  • Produce quotes and manage site investigation projects, including design, budgeting, and financial system use.
  • Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop business by building and maintaining a client list and attending networking events.
  • Mentor and train junior staff.
Requirements:
  • Degree in geology, geography, environmental science, geophysics, geochemistry, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5-6 years of consultancy experience.
  • Commercial awareness within the industry.
  • High motivation for this opportunity.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with line management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
Salary:
  • Up to £40,000 (dependent on experience)
