Job Description:
We are currently seeking a CAD Technician to join a prominent Temporary Works Engineering department located in Manchester. Our dynamic team of over 35 engineers and technicians from diverse backgrounds ensures we have the experience and skills required to provide cost-effective solutions. Working within the Design Department, you will report directly to the CAD Manager.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Producing TW’s drawings daily to meet customer demands
- Creating in-house manufacturing drawings to fulfil business needs
- Reviewing your own and colleagues' drawings
- Delivering one-off project work as directed by the Design Manager
- Providing technical support to the Sales Team/Customer (both project and non-project related)
- Developing Revit families aligned with our product range
Core requirements for this role are:
- BTEC or equivalent in Engineering
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft packages
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
- Ability to solve technically challenging problems
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external technical discussions
The following would also be desirable:
- Commercial awareness
- Technical knowledge and understanding of Temporary Works
