About the Role
Pertemps Recruitment are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join our client’s busy engineering workshop based in Kilsyth. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, maintaining equipment, and keeping a clean, organised workspace.
You’ll be working as part of a small, friendly team supporting day-to-day workshop operations and ensuring a safe, efficient environment.
Key Duties
- General cleaning and tidying of the engineering workshop
- Hand-painting and maintaining tools, plant, and equipment
- Assisting with the organisation of materials and storage areas
- Supporting maintenance and basic workshop tasks as required
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Clean driving licence (essential)
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- A reliable and proactive attitude
- Previous experience in a workshop, construction, or engineering environment (preferred but not essential)
- £14.50 per hour
- Full-time, long-term opportunity with potential for permanent employment
- All PPE provided
- Supportive working environment with on-the-job training
