We are seeking a highly organised and proactive
Business and Customer Support Assistant to join our clients team in Angus on a temporary basis. This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact by supporting key business functions, customer service delivery, and project administration.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and organise diaries for two staff members.
- Collate Freedom of Information (FOI) data, update systems (DASH), and prepare reports.
- Monitor deadlines, chase late submissions, and distribute completed work.
- Take accurate meeting minutes.
- Support the organisation of events.Β
- Provide excellent customer service across phone, face-to-face, and digital channels.
- Connect customers to the right services and ensure they receive accurate, timely information.
- Process customer requests in line with guidance, legislation, and policies.
- Support continuous improvements in service delivery.
- Format reports, letters, and mail merges.
- Enter, process, and manage sensitive information securely in various systems.
- Maintain filing systems (physical and electronic), including archiving and retrieval.
- Process orders, invoices, cash, and payments in line with council protocols.
- Record, reconcile, and maintain financial documentation.
- Generate invoices and support recovery of outstanding funds.
- Assist in project management tasks, documentation, and communication.
- Collate and check data to provide insights for business decision-making.
- Contribute to reviewing and improving processes for efficiency and customer focus.
Essential Skills & Experience- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Excellent digital skills and confidence with a range of technology and systems.
- Clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service experience across multiple channels.
- Experience in collating, checking, and organising data for business use.
- Ability to follow financial processes accurately and maintain records.
- Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Experience working in project teams and supporting delivery.

Additional Information- This role may require working from different locations across Angus to support team needs.
- On occasion, support for incident management outside normal working hours may be required.
