Job Description
Location: Livingston
Salary: £31,991 + £7,997 shift allowance (Total £39,989)
Hours: 37 per week (shift rotation)
We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a leading manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining plant equipment and ensuring maximum uptime across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive electrical maintenance
- Diagnose faults and repair plant equipment including presses, furnaces, and machinery
- Perform electrical installations, inspections, and testing
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Support continuous improvement and predictive maintenance activities
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, and compliance
- Time-served Electrician (City & Guilds / Level 3 / HNC or equivalent)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience in industrial electrical maintenance environments
- Knowledge of medium voltage systems and maintenance programmes
- Ability to read technical drawings and use test equipment
- Flexible approach and ability to work shifts
- Experience in heavy manufacturing or production environments
