Finance assistant

We are seeking an Experienced Finance Assistant to join our client based in South Leicester. As a finance assistant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes, contributing to the seamless operation of the organisation's financial activities.

Temp to perm opportunity
Hourly rate: £13.16 to £14.17 depending on experience
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8.30am – 5.00pm, Friday, 8.30am – 3pm

Key Responsibilities:

Process supplier invoices, ensuring queries with suppliers are resolved in a timely manner.
Prepare monthly reports and reconciliations
Ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end processes in alignment with strict deadlines
Collaborate effectively with the Credit Controller to manage and oversee all aspects of credit control operations.
Manage customer payments by reconciling and posting receipts and remittances, as well as processing credit card transactions efficiently.
Providing general administrative support to team members.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience within an account’s environment is essential, Experience working within a manufacturing business is also essential.
Strong organisation and accuracy skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
The ability to navigate excel, including Pivot tables, IF Statements and look ups.
Previous experience using sage 50 is essential for the role.
Effective communication skills, both written and over the phone.
Self-motivated, reliable and good attention to detail.
