Job Description
Successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring machinery, ensuring product quality, and supporting wider production operations as required.
Hourly rate:
- £12.21 per hour – First 12 weeks.
- £15.12 per hour – After 12 weeks.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 9:40pm – 5:50am
- Friday: 5:00pm – 10:50pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Starting, stopping, and monitoring machines throughout production runs
- Observing machine operation to detect faults.
- Removing moulded components safely and checking for defects.
- Conducting visual quality inspections on moulded parts during and after production
- Reporting equipment faults, material issues, or tooling problems to supervisors promptly
- Maintaining a clean and safe workstation in line with health & safety procedures
- Setting up and operating injection moulding machines according to production schedules
- Loading materials onto the machinery.
Additional Duties May Include:
- Carrying out visual inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Trimming excess plastic from moulded components.
- Assembling small plastic components.
- Working to production targets in a fast-paced environment
- Operating a small bushing press to insert metal bushes/fixings
- Inspecting finished parts and recording production volumes
- Packing finished goods.
