Job Description

Our client is an acknowledged technological leader supporting services to the conference and events Industry. World-leading solutions support everything from small meetings to major international congresses with thousands of attendees.
We’re a team that gets things done for our clients — making events run smoothly and efficiently. We enjoy what we do, and we do it well.
Now it’s your chance to join our fun and friendly team as we recruit a Senior Finance Officer to strengthen our finance function and support the Finance Manager.

Your role
We want you to enjoy your role, look forward to coming to work, and take pride in delivering high-quality financial support. You’ll be a key part of the finance team, combining hands-on finance operations with reporting and month-end support.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Matching, coding and processing purchase invoices
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and reporting support
  • Assisting the Managing Director and Finance Manager with financial reporting and analysis
  • Supporting finance administration and improving processes where appropriate
  • Working collaboratively within a busy office environment
This is a senior operational role — you won’t be expected to run the finance function, but you will be trusted with responsibility and detail.

What we’re looking for
You’ll be a strong all-round finance professional and a genuine team player, comfortable working with colleagues at all levels.
You’ll also bring:
  • Solid experience in finance, ideally up to management accounts level
  • Strong working knowledge of SAGE Line 50 (essential)
  • Good IT skills, including confident use of MS Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to prioritise, work independently and meet deadlines
  • An organised, logical and methodical approach
  • A flexible, positive attitude and a good sense of humour
  • A confident and reassuring telephone manner
You may be part-qualified, qualified by experience, or simply very strong operationally — attitude and capability matter more than job titles.

In return, we offer
As well as working alongside some of the best people in our industry, you’ll receive:
  • Competitive salary
  • Company benefits including health cover and pension (after 3 months)
  • 20 days holiday, increasing to 25 after 5 full years’ service
    • 2 duvet days plus bank holidays
  • A tailored progression and development plan
  • A friendly, supportive and down-to-earth working environment
