Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver Pay: £12.75
Location: Tamworth
Job Type: Temp to Perm

An established, family-owned manufacturing business is seeking a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join a small, close-knit warehouse team.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Following written procedures for safe working and standard operating practices
Order picking from an 8,000 sq ft warehouse (approx. 200 picks per day)
Booking in stock and putting stock away
Transporting stock between manufacturing and warehouse facilities
Stock taking and inventory control
Re boxing and weighing smaller orders
Booking in returned products
Maintaining high standards of warehouse housekeeping
Goods inwards, including unloading and putting away raw materials

Requirements

Valid forklift licence – Reach and Counterbalance (essential)
Forklift licence – VNA (preferred)
Full, clean driving licence (essential)
Experience in fast-moving warehouse environments
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Flexible approach to business needs
Excellent command of the English language
Trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision
Courteous and professional when dealing with customers

Additional Information

Initial interviews will be face to face, including a site tour
Second-stage interviews will include a competency test (van and forklift driving)
Uniform provided after qualifying period
Long-term opportunity with temp-to-perm progression
