Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems
- Work with rotating electrical components such as alternators and starter motors
- Perform full and partial rewiring of vehicles
- Use diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues
- Service and install batteries, alternators, and related components
- Work confidently on both classic and modern vehicle systems
- Provide mobile/on-site service where required
- Proven experience as an auto electrician or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical systems
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Ohm’s Law and its application in troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Own tools and diagnostic equipment (preferred)
- Valid UK driving licence
- Flexible hourly rate ranging from £13 to £16 per hour, based on the complexity of each job
- Flat-rate or per-job payment options may be offered depending on the task
