Job Description
Immediate Start – Monday 5:00 AM
Pertemps are urgently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Driver for a Monday start based in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work with the potential to become temp-to-perm after a successful 4-week trial period.
📅 Schedule
- Monday to Thursday – Stay-outs required
- Return Friday afternoon
- Early starts (5:00 AM)
- Paid while on stay-outs
- Parking allowance provided
- £25 food allowance if parking does not provide meals
🚚 The Role
- Driving an 18t curtain-sided vehicle
- Multi-drop deliveries
- Signing and completing paperwork
- Using CX app for deliveries
- Operating a pump truck when required
- Close and go deliveries
- No handballing required (only in worst-case scenarios)
- Vehicle checks and compliance with Drivers’ Hours & WTD regulations
✅ Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence
- Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience
- Maximum 3 points on licence
- Valid CPC & Digi Tacho
- DVLA check required
- Safety boots
- Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours regulations
- Reliable and professional attitude
