The Opportunity 
We are looking for an experienced Lighting Protection Engineer to be part of a well-established team. Renowned within their industry, they specialise across both products and services within; fall arrest equipment, electrical testing, building access, fire solutions and water treatment. The Role  
With a strong background in Installing lightning protection and earthing systems on various structures across private, public, industrial, and commercial sectors, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. You will generally be working outdoors and at height to gain access to the roof tops and systems which can be sometimes in difficult to reach areas. Types of areas you will work are high-rise domestic residential properties, large retail units and industrial structures.  
 
Main Duties  

• Install lightning protection and earthing systems on tall structures like high-rise offices and flats, following pre-designed schemes and risk assessments 
• Undertake upgrades to existing lightning protection systems as per provided instructions. 
• Utilize scaffolding, work platforms, and safety devices to work safely at heights 
• Provide on-site communications and advice to clients or project managers, representing the company professionally 
• Work is predominantly outdoors and at height, requiring access to rooftops and challenging locations 
• Customer-facing role, representing the company and brand nationwide 
• Complete all company paperwork accurately, including risk assessments, job sheets, and timesheets 

Our Ideal Candidate 
Our ideal candidate will possess proven experience in engineering and Lightning Protection, creative problem-solving skills and a collaborative spirit. A commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to challenges are essential for success in this role. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who has:  

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Lighting Conductor Engineering  
• Customer Facing experience in a field service environment  
• Good Planning and organisational skills  
• Risk assessment creation experience 
• IPAF, SSSTS or PASMA  
• A CSCS Card  
• Flexibility to all tasks taken 
• A Full UK Driving License – this is essential
