Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Administrator to join a thriving business in Redditch on a full time office based role. You will be responsible for assisting the Supply Chain and Commercial teams with various administration related tasks. We are looking for a forward thinking candidate with a varied admin skill set who are passionate about providing excellent customer service.
Supply Chain Administrator day to day duties include:-
- Understanding of the commercial process relating to the sourcing, purchase & supply of goods / products / services.
- Excellent communication skills with experience of dealing with producers / suppliers.
- Capability to identify and initiate new supplier / product relationships in line with quality / technical requirements.
- Initiative / ability to link industry knowledge with seasonal trends to maximise the opportunity of seasonal sales.
- Support in the processing of customer (sales) orders
- Responsibility for coordinating the processing of supplier (purchase) orders.
- Seasonal forecasting / planning, in conjunction with maintaining required stock levels
- Experienced in the use of Excel & Microsoft based IT functionality.
- Stock / inventory control responsibility, understanding stock holding versus customer forecasting / rate of sale.
- Optimise volume and order days to minimise costs and reduce wastage.
- Manage stock inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages, collaborating with the commercial team.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, collections, and deliveries.
- Analyse sales/procurement data to forecast short term demand from customers.
- Communicate with internal logistics team & third-parties to ensure timely collections/deliveries of orders.
The Successful Supply Chain Administrator will have the following skills and experience:-
Previous supply chain or logistics experience
Strong IT skills including excel
Highly numerate and strong attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills and strong communicator overall.
