The Role 

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and equipment. Working on a rotating shift pattern, you will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance activities.

 
Key Responsibilities 

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment
• Diagnose and repair faults to minimise downtime
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards at all times
• Work collaboratively with production teams to optimise performance

Requirements

• Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role (electrical & mechanical)
• Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience within manufacturing or heavy industry (steel experience desirable)
• Ability to work rotating shifts
