The Opportunity
 

We’re recruiting for a busy heavy manufacturing site in Dudley seeking a time-served Maintenance Electrician to join their engineering team.


 

This is a stable, permanent role offering premium pay rates, strong overtime, and hands-on work across heavy industrial and process machinery.


 

You’ll work in a 2-person team alongside a Mechanical Fitter, covering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdowns, and installation work.


 

 
The Role
 

✔ Carry out PPM and reactive repairs on heavy machinery



✔ Fault find on 415V / 240V / 110V / 24V systems



✔ PLC fault finding (I/O checks – no programming required)



✔ Work on motors, overhead cranes, contactors, and control panels



✔ Read and interpret electrical drawings



✔ Support machinery installations and site upgrades


 

 
What We’re Looking For
 

✔ NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Maintenance or completed apprenticeship



✔ Strong experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments



✔ Confident fault-finding on 3-phase electrical systems



✔ Able to work rotating shifts (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm) with early finish Fridays


 

18th Edition knowledge advantageous but not essential.
