Job Description
Salary: £37,000 – £45,000 + Overtime + Benefits
We are recruiting a Field Service Engineer to support the servicing and maintenance of industrial press machinery for a long-established engineering business. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to work with robust, high-value equipment across a range of customer sites.
The Role
- Carry out planned servicing, breakdown response, and preventative maintenance on industrial presses
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults
- Install and commission new and refurbished machinery
- Provide technical advice and support to customers on-site
- Complete service reports, risk assessments and job documentation
- Travel to customer sites across the Midlands and wider UK, with occasional overnight stays
- Background as a Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Service Technician within heavy engineering or industrial machinery
- Experience with presses, CNC, hydraulics or similar equipment is highly advantageous
- Confident fault-finding skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-focused attitude
- Full UK driving licence essential
- £37,000 – £45,000 basic salary, dependent on experience
- Paid overtime and travel time
