£36,000 – £38,000 per annum (incl. shift allowance) + Overtime Available
Rotating Shifts: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm (Early finish Fridays)

Join a Major Steel Processing Company in the Heart of Dudley

Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer seeking a stable role within a leading heavy engineering and steel processing environment? Our client is expanding their maintenance team and looking for a driven, hands-on engineer who can thrive in a fast-paced production setting.

The Role:

Deliver both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown support across plant and equipment.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and professionally.
Complete daily shift reports and all necessary paperwork.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and the wider engineering team.

General Duties:

Maintenance and fault-finding on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
General welding and fabrication
Oxy/acetylene cutting and burning
Bench fitting
Operation of forklifts, cherry pickers, and overhead cranes (OHC) - training given

Experience & Qualifications Required:

Completed apprenticeship / time-served mechanic (preferred)
NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance
Experience within slitting / de-coiling environments is a strong advantage
Previous maintenance experience in heavy industry or steel processing desirable
