Purchase Ledger Clerk - Permanent Opportunity
Location: Oldbury
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role:Our client is a highly respected manufacturing organisation with a strong presence in their sector. They are looking to welcome a Purchase Ledger Clerk to their supportive and dynamic finance team. In this role, you'll play a key part in the smooth running of the accounts payable function - ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.
What you will be be doing:- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Obtaining invoice approvals in line with company policies
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing and processing BACS and cheque payment runs
- Maintaining accurate records of all purchase ledger transactions
- Supporting month-end close processes including accruals and reporting
- Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries
- Ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures
- Assisting with audits and providing required documentation
What our client is looking For:- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role (desirable)
- A good level of education including GCSE Maths and English (Grade B or above)
- Finance-related qualifications are advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, SAP would be very advantageous
- Strong numerical accuracy and data entry skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset
