Job Title: Injection Moulding Setter
Location: Brierley Hill, West Midlands Or Minworth, West Midlands
Salary: Level 1: £13.65 p/h, Level 2 £14.70 p/h, Level 3 £15.75 p/h
Hours: Rotational Shifts: Monday - Thursday 05:50 - 13.30 Friday 06:40 - 13.30, Monday - Thursday 13:30 - 21:00 Friday 13:30 - 20:10
As the successful injection moulding setter, you will be expected to confidently tool change and understand the parameters of the injection moulding machines, as well as understand and complete the relevant paperwork whilst maintaining high Health & Safety Standards, this role will also be required to help train the trainee setters when required.
Key areas of responsibilities for the injection moulding setter:
- Comply with all safety, quality and work rules and regulations (Machine Safety Checks / OHC Checks).
- Implementing production and process tool changes inclusive of Tool Change Report and process logs with Technician or Technical Support sign off.
- Assure that tool set up, changeovers, and 5S/housekeeping standards are improved/maintained
- Ensuring availability of material, tooling and ancillary equipment.
- Carry out material moisture checks in line with material standard.
- Level 1 TPM without exception.
- Patrol of moulding machines, ensuring production and quality are maintained.
- Work with production personnel to ensure all parts meet Quality requirements. NCP control and reduction.
- Ensure moulding machines and supporting systems are set to correct parameters/tolerances are meeting production KPI's.
- Troubleshoot processing problems including normal adjustments.
- Maintain company objectives on quality, delivery and environmental policies
- Review and inspect machines daily for maintenance issues and report to the maintenance department.
- Report any Tooling / Robot & Fixture issues and log on to machine monitoring system including adding Red Tag to tool plus sample part.
- Cover Operator breaks (Depending on capacity).
- Participate in Shift Handover.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
