Are you technically minded, detail-driven, and looking for a new challenge in purchasing and stock control? We’re working exclusively with a well-established, forward-thinking business in Cannock that is looking to expand their operations team with a Purchasing Assistant / Stock Controller.

What You’ll Be Doing:- Managing and controlling stock levels
- Conducting regular stock takes and identifying variances
- Negotiating prices and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Raising and processing purchase orders
- Tracking lead times and managing call-off orders
- Monitoring minimum order quantities and contract terms
- Working with Sage and Excel to maintain accurate records
- Supporting the team with general procurement and technical stock management tasks
What We’re Looking For:- Previous experience in a purchasing, stock control, or supply chain role
- Confident using Excel (formulas, data entry) and ideally Sage
- A technically minded approach – able to understand product specs and stock requirements
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
