Part-Time Bookkeeper - Temporary - Permanent
Pay: £14.00 per hour
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and assisting with reporting and compliance. There is flexibility in working hours, with the option to complete the allocated hours over 4 or 5 days by agreement.
Responsibilities- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data as required.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in the relevant accounting software.
- Provide documentation and reports to support external audits.
- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Control and monitor credit accounts.
- Manage the employee holiday schedule.
- Verify delivery notes against invoices to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Solid understanding of accounts payable processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and effectively.
- Good numerical ability and understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Qualifications (preferred): AAT or ICB certification.
