Pertemps are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and customer-focused
Material Controller to join a well-established warehouse in Oldbury. This role is key to ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate order processing, excellent customer service, and effective management of materials and stock levels.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately process and manage sales orders.
- Provide outstanding customer service, handling enquiries via phone and email.
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks to keep operations running efficiently.
- Monitor, chase, and help resolve outstanding invoices in collaboration with the finance team.
- Use Sage for order processing and basic accounting functions.
- Maintain accurate records of materials and stock levels, ensuring availability for production and sales.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and alert management when replenishment is needed to prevent shortages.
- Assist in coordinating with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
- Support inventory audits and reporting to maintain accurate stock data.
The Ideal Candidate:- Experience in administration, customer service, sales order processing, and material or inventory control.
- Proficiency with Sage software.
- Strong understanding of stock management and minimum stock levels.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-first approach.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders, handling invoices, and managing stock records.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 08:30am - 17:00pm
Friday 08:30am - 16:00pm
Pay Rate:
£12.50 per hour
This is a temporary position with the opportunity to go permanent after a successful trial period.
