Job Description
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay: £13.25 per hour
Hours: Full Time (8am - 5pm), Includes Sunday (1pm - 8pm)
About the Role
Pertemps Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a well-established and fast-paced distribution operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term, stable employment with the potential to secure a permanent position after a successful temporary period.
Duties
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles in a timely manner
- Order picking and preparing stock for dispatch
- Ensuring goods are handled and stored correctly within a cold storage facility
- Weighing goods ready to be packed for customers
- Updating stock records and completing basic warehouse documentation
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety compliance
- Working as part of a team to meet daily operational target
Requirements
- Valid and in-date Counterbalance FLT licence
- Previous experience working within a warehouse or distribution environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a cold environment
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong understanding of health & safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
