Location: Site Based
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Operative to join our Client on a temporary to Permanant. This is a front-facing role where you will be responsible for maintaining high standards within the stores environment and ensuring product availability for the client.
You will play a key role in supporting daily operations by managing stock efficiently, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring all processes are completed accurately and on time.
Available Shifts (3 positions available)
- Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:30
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
- Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 13:30 – 22:00
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional relationship with the client
- Issue stock products accurately and efficiently
- Source and provide supplier catalogues and product information
- Expedite outstanding purchase orders when required
- Accurately book in goods received using the stock control system
- Manage and release back orders for delivery
- Confirm customer deliveries in a timely manner
- Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and authorised where required
- Complete stock deliveries within one working day
- Carry out regular stock checks and maintain accurate stock records
- Record stock locations and adjustments as necessary
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the stores environment
- Attend site meetings and follow up on any actions required
- Support additional duties as required in line with the role
Candidate Requirements (Mandatory)
- Excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written)
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing production-based stores role or working closely with engineers
- Strong focus on delivering excellent customer experience
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good IT skills (SAP experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills
