An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing environment in Telford. The role involves providing both electrical and mechanical engineering support to ensure plant, equipment, and installations operate efficiently with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance support across site operations
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns efficiently
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and complete repairs to a high standard
• Ensure all maintenance work is accurately recorded using a computerised maintenance management system
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and meet operational priorities
• Maintain safe working practices in line with Health & Safety legislation
• Ensure compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations and Health & Safety at Work Act
• Take ownership of housekeeping and maintaining a safe working environment
• Support continuous improvement and personal development
 
Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities:
• Follow all site health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Ensure contractors and visitors comply with site safety rules
• Be aware of emergency procedures including fire evacuation routes
 
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will be a proactive problem-solver with good communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and quality and hold relevant qualifications and experience in a similar role.
 
Working Hours:
• Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 16:30
• Friday: 08:30 – 14:30 (Nice early finish)
