Job Description
Location: Halesfield, Telford
Salary: £16.50 per hour
Hours: Mon–Thu 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–15:30
We're looking for an experienced CNC Operator, ideally someone who's worked on lathes or milling machines to join our client’s manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machinery and have some experience using Alphacam or BobCAD to input, adjust, or modify existing CNC programmes as required
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Operator:
- Operate and set CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components
- Load, adjust, and modify existing CNC programmes using Alphacam and/or BobCAD
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to ensure accurate production
- Carry out routine machine checks and maintain a safe working environment
- Work closely with production staff to improve workflow and minimise downtime
- Maintain accurate documentation relating to tooling, programmes, and set-up processes
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
