Job Description
Contract: Ongoing, with potential temp-to-perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am start – approx. 3:30pm to 4:00pm finish
We are recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver with a valid Moffett C2 (truck-mounted forklift) certificate to join our established fleet. This role involves the delivery of palletised building materials to a variety of destinations, including construction sites, builders’ merchants, and private residential addresses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 26T curtain-sider Moffett carrier lorry
- Complete an average of 5 deliveries per day
- Transport plasterboards, insulation rolls and boards (palletised and pre-loaded by forklift)
- Ensure safe and timely deliveries to customers
- Maintain vehicle checks and compliance with driving regulations
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Moffett C2 certificate
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous experience in building material deliveries advantageous
- No drink-driving offences or serious convictions
- Strong commitment to health & safety and excellent customer service skills
- Immediate start available
