Class 1 Wagon & Drag

Due to continued expansion of our established and highly successful clients business, we are actively seeking Class 1 drivers to join the team.
This role will involve driving Wagon & Drag vehicles and being part of a Trackway team installing and recovering mats.

Essential Functions
The flexibility to work as a HGV 1 Wagon & Drag driver and partner with the Trackway crew on installation and recovery operations throughout the UK which will involve working as a two/three-person crew including nights away in your truck (not sharing with others).
The successful applicant will be:

• Ability to follow exact direction.
• Able to maintain accurate paperwork/electronic records.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment (crane) or willing to be trained.
• Knowledge of hand tools.
• Must be able to adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and rules.
• Must have good interpersonal skills required to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (day, night, occasional weekends).
• Ability to assist with installing/removing mats.
• Construction and Transmission & Distribution experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check and drug/alcohol screen/physical.
• Reliable and trustworthy, good timekeeper, able to use their own initiative and highly motivated.

Full training will be provided, with development opportunities and ability to progress within the company.


Requirements

• Applicants must have a current HGV Class 1 licence.
• CSCS card desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

• Salary: Starting rate £17.00 per hour - 45 hours a week with overtime paid at time and a half.
