Job Description
Location: Newport, Isle of Wight
Pay: £12.71 per hour
About the Role
Our client in Newport is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Assembly Operator to join their production team. This role is key to supporting the manufacturing process, ensuring products are assembled accurately and meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling products and components in line with work instructions
- Picking, kitting, and preparing materials for production
- Following basic technical diagrams or instructions where required
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure consistency and standards are met
- Handling small components with care and precision
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
- Supporting stock control and inventory accuracy
- Working collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet targets
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse environments is beneficial but not essential
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with small parts
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Basic IT skills are an advantage
