Network Recruitment Wales is seeking two Cleaning & Hygiene Operatives to support Monmouthshire County Council’s Facilities & Environment team at Raglan Depot. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vital public service, ensuring that council buildings and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

What You’ll Do:

  • Carry out a range of cleaning duties, including mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and emptying litter bins.
  • Clean sanitary areas and ensure hygiene standards are consistently met.
  • Safely operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and floor machines.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning materials and supplies.
  • Report faults, maintenance issues, or health and safety concerns to your supervisor.
  • Follow Health and Safety regulations and use cleaning chemicals appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Facilities Unit team to deliver a professional, high-quality service.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in cleaning, facilities, or hygiene work (preferred but not essential).
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures, including safe use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to service needs and occasional change of location.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Two years of references/work history.
  • Completion of a Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Criminal Convictions Declaration.
