Mechanical Estimator - Kent

My client are an HVAC Specialist Contractor who have been operating for around 8 years.
 
Based out of their HQ in Kent, they now have build a solid team and client base which is bringing in consistent work and are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their team.
 
Project Values range between £50k - £1.5mil.


THE JOB – MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR (TRIMBLE EXPERIENCE)
 
Monday – Friday
8am – 4pm / 9am - 5pm
 
Seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join the business.
 
You will be the sole Estimator in the business, but then a team of Estimators will be built around you when the time is right to hire more.
 
You will need to have solid Trimble Experience, ss your responsibilities in the first 2 months will be to set up the Trimble systems and they can’t see that you will be doing much Estimating.
 
The bigger picture of this is huge with the potential to grow with the business and to build a team around you.
 
The projects are all Commercial ranging in value from £50k - £1.5mil. The Operations Manager is happy to complete the small tenders, if this would be helpful for you.
 
Duties:

• Produce tenders
• Analyse project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating
• Research and source materials, equipment, and labour costs
• Create detailed cost breakdowns and estimates for labour, materials, and other project expenses
• Review and compare supplier and subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness and quality
• Prepare comprehensive proposals and bid packages for submission to clients
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation

 
SALARY & PACKAGE
 
£60,000 (review after 3 months)
Travel Expenses covered if needed to go to site in London
20 Days & 8 Bank + Birthday Off
