SEN Teacher - Barnet - January Start
About the Role: Pertemps Education is seeking a passionate and experienced
SEN Teacher to join a primary school in Barnet. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons to students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal development goals. This position is ideal for someone dedicated to making a significant impact in the lives of children with SEN.
Location: Barnet
Pay: £170.00 - £250.00 per day plus SEN Allowance
Start Date: January

Key Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with special educational needs.
- Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to support the progress and development of students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment where all students feel supported and valued.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCo, and other staff to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum.
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and development.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Qualifications and Skills: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching students with special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of SEN conditions such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or sensory impairments.
- Proven ability to differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
