Job Description
Rate: £200–£300 per day
Contract: Initial 3-month period
We are seeking an experienced Senior SEND Officer to join the School Age Reviewing Team in Derbyshire. The role involves managing annual reviews, phase transfer reviews, and coordinating subsequent actions from those meetings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the end-to-end annual review process for children and young people with EHCPs.
- Leading on phase transfer reviews and ensuring all statutory deadlines are met.
- Sharing proposed amendments and consulting with educational settings.
- Drafting funding forms and referring cases to the SEND panel.
- Issuing final Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and ensuring compliance with SEND Code of Practice.
- Previous experience as a Senior SEND Officer or within a local authority SEND team.
- Strong understanding of EHCP processes, legislation, and statutory timescales.
- Excellent communication and case management skills.
