Grounds Technician

Grounds Technician - Bedfordshire - Biggleswade & Bedford 

Pertemps Aylesbury is currently recruiting for a number of Ground Technician for our client based in Bigglewade and Bedford.

Salary: £24,500 - £26,000 (DOE)

Hours: 40 hours a week

Duties:

- To assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the gardens, grounds, roads, pathways, sports fields, and all boundaries to sites.
- To operate pedestrian and ride-on mowers, hedge trimmers, brushcutters, leaf blowers and backpack sprayers
- Grass cutting and lawn maintenance, strimming and leaf clearance, general maintenance to shrub beds, bed restoration/preparation and planting.
- Undertaking proactive grounds maintenance duties to ensure that all areas are kept safe, clean, tidy and welcoming.
- Working alongside the Senior Grounds Technician to increase levels of biodiversity across all sites

Requirements:

- Appropriate horticulture qualification at level 2 or equivalent.
- Trained to operate horticultural, tractors, machinery and grass cutting equipment, both rotary and cylinder.
- Trained to handle hedge cutting and strimming equipment.
- Minimum of 2 years horticultural experience.
