In your role as Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of contracts, where our suppliers deliver service contracts to meet our operational needs. Driving performance, developing relationships with suppliers, identifying commercial opportunities and service improvements will be key activities in this role.
What you’ll be doing as an Operations Contracts Manager- Supplier relationships - To create, manage and sustain appropriate supplier relationships across a portfolio of agreements /contracts to ensure services are delivered in line with business needs and objectives.
- Supplier performance - Manage the performance of suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements and business operational needs, to ensure best value and services from suppliers are achieved.
- Stakeholder management - Work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships with internal and external parties, at all levels of the business.
- Commercial - Identify and implement opportunities/improvements for commercial efficiencies across operational activities and contracts. Lead on contract negotiations and implement contract variations as required. Provide contract-related issue resolution to any disputes arising with suppliers.
- Contract Lifecycle - Complete contract close-outs, review contracts for extension or renewal and assist procurement teams where applicable for re-procurement. Assist procurement teams in developing contract documentation for new tenders e.g. KPIs, and commercial schedules.
- Audit - Ensure that all processes are followed in line with legislation and company policies/procedures.
What should you bring to the role?- Have previous experience managing a portfolio of Operational Contracts.
- Demonstrate managing contracts with the view of driving value for money.
- Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- A strong technical understanding of commercial and contract management.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Managing NEC short contracts is desirable.
- Managing construction / civil contracts is desirable.
- Managing mechanical engineering contracts is desirable.
What’s in it for you?- Salary between £41,000 to £50,000 per annum depending on experience and skills.
- Car Allowance of £4,500 per annum.
