People Officer - Learning, Development & Talent Acquisition
Contract: Fixed Term (Feb 2026 - Feb 2027)
Location: Hybrid (South West - travel to offices across Devon and Somerset required)
Hours: Ideally 36.25 hours/week, 5 days per week (part-time considered)
We're supporting a leading South West professional services firm in recruiting a People Officer to join their friendly and dynamic People Team on a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.

About the Role
Reporting to the People Director and working alongside two other People Officers, you'll play a key part in:
- Supporting learning and development for qualified and non-chargeable team members.
 - Coordinating and delivering firmwide events, inductions, and wellbeing initiatives.
 - Driving talent acquisition activities including recruitment campaigns, onboarding, and career events.
 - Assisting Partners and Directors with training design, delivery, and evaluation.
 - This role offers the chance to develop training programmes, promote wellbeing initiatives, and support a positive employee experience across a multi-office organisation.
 
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver induction sessions for new starters three times per year.
 - Design and deliver engaging face-to-face and online training sessions.
 - Coordinate firmwide events and other learning and wellbeing activities.
 - Manage training administration, CPD processes, and course bookings.
 - Liaise with Partners regarding training content, office manuals, and external providers.
 - Manage administration of healthcare cashback schemes, Mental Health First Aid, and Work Experience programmes.
 - Support recruitment campaigns, career events, and onboarding processes.
 - Produce high-quality internal documents, presentations, and training materials.

 - Experience in coaching, training delivery, or organising events is desirable.
 - Professional, discreet, and team-oriented.
 - Ability to travel to multiple offices and work flexibly to support team and organisational needs.
